
Rather than purchasing Meade's
#124 2x barlow, I chose a cheaper alternative.
I cannot
compare this to the Meade model but I must can say I have no
complaints with this Saxon 2x achromatic barlow - so for the
budget conscious why not give it a try.
In Australia Meade distributors are few and far between and many
will stock the scopes but accessories are harder to come by.
I found this in a local telescope shop. It basically does what it
says - doubles the eyepiece magnifying power -

The images

Note images
you see through the lens will be of similar proportions but will
be alot clearer and brighter.
